This song began as just a chorus, scrawled onto the cover of my math notebook when I was just 15. While normally I was very outgoing, my social development felt permanently stunted when it came to this one boy I had a crush on. I was feeling frustrated that my brain hadn't quite caught up to my hormones. While my original vision for the song was more solidly "Y2K boy band," I think the dark-pop vibe that Gabe and Garek imbued the track with gives it a fresh, sexy life of its own. -AW​
